So , how does one profit on the internet?

Here is a strategy that Joel Comm proved to be successful:

1. find your niche
2. build a website
3. add good content on a regular basis
4. offer a free introductory product that will require people to leave their name and email address
5. if they like it they may return and buy a low-cost product, such as an e-book for $27
6. after you’ve built a relationship, try selling them a mid-cost product like a DVD set for $500

These are very simple yet very powerful steps.
When you do what you are passionate about and want to be the best at, you always seem to find the time to grow your expertise. From there it is essential to leverage it because people will always pay for a product or service with value.

Part I is a post from: goalsettingnow.co.uk

Is it true that our current era presents more opportunity than ever before? Joel Comm is sure of it. Because of the constantly rising number of people using the internet, the relentless evolution of technology in our lives and the amount of mobile devices we use, our access to new clients is never-ending.

Joel Comm says that although the world is full of constantly opening new possibilities, “your niche is determined by who you are”. Doing what is important to you, following your unique calling, is vital to your success. And to determine what your calling is, ask yourself three simple questions:

What am I passionate about?

What is the one thing that makes my heart beat, the thing that if I could do nothing else for the rest of my life, I would choose to do?

What kind of talents and skills do I have? What do I know, what kind of knowledge have I acquired? -Joel Comm (an interview Christopher Howard did with Joel Comm, 23.06.2010- The Academy of Wealth and Achievement)

…………………………………..

Joel Comm is an entrepreneur, teacher, internet marketer and multimillionaire. His passion—communicating with others—enhanced by the internet to reach as many people as possible, is what fuels his success. He is the owner of seven businesses.

He started his first company when the internet exploded in 1995. Backed by his background in computers, he easily transitioned his business to the internet.

In 1995 he bought his first domain and registered a business: worldvillage.com. The origin of his idea came directly from his interests that he had at that time—young parents looking at the products that their children bought—so he built a site that would review software for kids from the parents’ perspective. Everything changed nine months later when a Japanese company contacted him to license some of the content that he was producing for a Japanese website. It gave him his first contract. It was easy to carry on from that point. He set up company after company and built more content sites and online shops. Joel Comm is known all around the world and regarded as one of the top internet marketers of our time. What he says is that if you want to be profitable, you should think about what the market wants and provide it, and then build a business that will be there for a long time. What you need are solid values of your own.

Some of the values that build solid foundations for Comm’s success, happy personal life and fortune are:

- believing in personal uniqueness, individualism, and teaching people the importance of developing their own dreams and building upon them; in other words, listen to your own calling.

- being eager to learn something new, to expand into new areas, to have an interest in experiencing newer, more difficult markets; his success gave him the fuel to try something new.

- knowing that real fortunes are created by following your own passion, he does not “work”, he simply does what he loves to do

- believing in a long-term endeavours, thus creating either companies or communities based on values of truth and honesty

- focusing, not allowing yourself to be easily distracted

- an abundance-type of mentality: happy to share, sharing your value with others, and being paid for that

- caring for the community

- honesty

- competitiveness

What is it that You want? is a post from: goalsettingnow.co.uk

An affirmation is a saying that is laid out in a positive format, that aligns with our goals, that strengthens our inner idea about ourselves, and that asserts our belief that we can achieve our goals.

For an affirmation to be effective, you need to state it in the present tense in order to awaken the right reaction of our brains. You word it as though it were already happening, drawing on your mind’s eye with full emotional power. Affirmations are usually followed by visualizations, which lead to extraordinary results, in all areas of our lives. Research and experiments have proven this.

First, you need to know what your goals are. Get crystal clear on what it is that you want to achieve and write it down on a piece of paper. Second, start affirming yourself in words that make you feel positive and align with your goals.

So to sum up, affirmations should be stated in:

a minimum amount of words to be understood clearly and quickly; be specific

the first person singular

the present tense

a positive form

repeated a few times daily

Some examples:

If you find it difficult to concentrate and thus you start procrastinating, you might say: “I spend most of the time working on the deals and tasks that are highly profitable.“

Delegation - if you own a business and value your time, you know how important it is to delegate tasks to appropriate people: “I delegate with effectiveness, and find the right person for the specific task.“

Self-reliance - ” I am good at what I do, and I believe in my ability to achieve my goal.”

Planning is essential when it comes to achievements. It’s like driving – if you know exactly where you are going you will get there faster. “I spend my time planning. I plan specific actions and steps that lead to the achievement of my goal.”

Enthusiasm - “I treat my work and goals with enthusiasm.”

When you work on affirmations, you simply encode your subconscious mind. In contrast to most of the population that lets other people, TV or the media in general influence them, by setting your own affirmations you decide to step onto an entirely different path. You start to define your own level of success that is independent of anybody else’s point of view.

Remember that affirmations, followed by visualization and action, become a solid foundation for the achievement of your desires.

Visualization and action. Visualization makes your goal more real, and action takes you outside of your own mind, thus breaking the limiting beliefs that used to stop you in your previous life. Even if you know where you are going you will get run over if you just sit there.

As Albert Einstein said, “We are boxed in by the boundary conditions of our thinking.”

Our Circle of Life

Humans are complex beings. In order to be happy we need satisfaction both in our professional and personal lives, no matter what we choose our occupation to be. Success- the financial prosperity or a bright career are often the first surface levels that hide deeper and more complex problems- our personal lives, troubles with close relationships, the feeling of self-doubt. We are all aware of people who achieve great financial success just to mask their loneliness or lack of self-confidence. But we are also aware of those like Richard Branson (one of the most respected and richest entrepreneurs in the world, creator of the Virgin brand), who have managed to balance their business with their personal lives, finding fulfilment and satisfaction in both areas.

The more integral we are, the more inner stability we achieve and thus the greater financial success we experience. If our lives are one entity – one circle – then the different areas of it, like finance and career, or home and family, are the parts of it. All parts are important; they create the whole picture, the whole mind and body of an individual.

Modern science of human development singles out six main parts that contribute to our inner stability:

health and fitness – our diet and exercises

sphere of ethics and spirit – our values that we live by

home and family

finance and career

education and mind development – your individual way of improving your skills and knowledge

socio-cultural sphere of life – our social bonds with friends and extended family

All these spheres are important, and closely correlated. One influences the other. You will vastly improve your life if you care for all areas of yourself, and if you set goals for each separate sphere.

When you look closely on all those areas of your life and examine them- when you feel that they do not work, if you already know that you need a change, that something might be better – like your relationships with your family, or your finances – then you must seek new ways to do it.

The process of Writing Down Your Goals

It has been proven that one of the best ways to achieve what we want is to write our thoughts down on a piece of paper.

What happens when you write down your goals? And why is that?

You motivate yourself by taking action and seeing your intangible desires in tangible form via letters or shapes or colours – if you decide to paint them, for example

It’s like planning a trip: you write down what you want to achieve so that you can see what steps are needed in order to get there, and you can also see your progress.

When you write you stimulate your imagination; you need to visualize what you really want.

The process of writing down your thoughts forces you to be more concise and clear about the purpose of your actions.

If you can write it you can measure it, and if you can measure it you can achieve it.

You save time, because writing down your goals gives your mind the clarity and motivation to seek solutions instead of coping with the initial idea: what do I want.

It has been proven many times over that concrete plans bring specific concrete results; vague thoughts and vague plans usually bring chaos and small results…or worse create disability. Your thoughts create reality. What are your next actions going to be?

What is Creative Visualization

Usually referred to in sports, creative visualization is one of the most well-known methods of achieving extraordinary results. Creative visualization, the idea that our thoughts affect our real-life results, was explored in a well-known book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill in 1931. “What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve,” he famously said.

Creative visualization is the technique in which one uses the imagination to fully visualize specific actions, turns of action or situations in one’s life. It is vastly important to imagine with all our senses so that we use more of our brain cells and thus reinforce our desired outcome. When you plan a future event, you should ask yourself about the desired scenario:

What do I hear?

What do I see?

What do I feel?

How does it taste?

How does it smell?

One of the most famous examples of the power of thought is the experiment quoted by Wikipedia:

“In one of the most well-known studies on Creative Visualization in sports, Russian scientists compared four groups of Olympic athletes in terms of their training schedules:

Group 1 = 100% physical training;

Group 2 – 75% physical training with 25% mental training;

Group 3 – 50% physical training with 50% mental training;

Group 4 – 25% physical training with 75% mental training.

Group 4, with 75% of their time devoted to mental training, performed the best. “The Soviets had discovered that mental images can act as a prelude to muscular impulses.”

……………….

Why Creative Visualization Works

What we currently know about our brains is, among many other facts, that it is :

in constant motion, reprogramming itself, and it is our emotions that give the direction to the way it changes.

consists of about 100 billion neurons, and each neuron is connected to approximately 7 thousand other neurons, which creates a huge number of connections between them – between 10 and 14 zeros.

is constantly reprogramming itself, and it brings changes and improvement in our lives

whether you look at a thing or imagine it, the same areas of your brain are used. It explains why depression destroys the human body – imagined fear, oppression and isolation damages the cells of the organism, weakens muscles and the immune system.

according to Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the author of the national bestseller ”Flow”, we can only process a small amount of information of all that takes place at a specific moment. Meaning we can distinguish 126 bits of information per second (a bit is a sound, smell, visual stimuli, etc), deleting all others. When you concentrate on something, like an impression, you cannot concentrate on something else as strongly, and so you are able to build an image with emotion that affects both your mind and body.

How To Use Creative Visualization To Design Our Outcomes

There are many methods to greatly help us shape our future, like the SMART way of goal setting. The goals need to be :

Specific

Measurable

Achievable

Realistic

Time-bound

Every part of the process is important. For example, “Specific” brings you closer to understanding what you want and what it looks like. So to set a goal that is specific you need to ask questions like:

WHO is closely engaged in this goal?

WHAT do I want to accomplish?

WHEN is my deadline for this goal?

WHERE will it take place?

WHY do you want it?

HOW will I do it and what are the possible difficulties?

Creative visualization has the power to make things happen. Our brains are the most advanced bio-computers that exist on our planet, and the power of thought creates our future.

Albert Einstein said and proved it by his own accomplishments:

“Our imagination is more important that knowledge. Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions.”

How To Stop Procrastinating…? Napoleon Bonaparte, Einstein, Ayn Rand, Rockefeller, Bill Bartmann, Warren Buffett, Oprah Winfrey… what do they all have in common? Apart from achieving mastery at what they do as well as financial fortune, they have managed to find peace with their own past. All come from poverty or relative poverty, some having had really difficult childhoods. But despite this, all of them have managed to achieve the highest ranks of greatness.

Instead of denying or shying away from their past, they used their memories to build solid foundations of their powerful futures. No matter how hard it might have been to tap into those past memories, they drew on them to nourish their lives. Memory is like a bridge that spans two lands: the past and the future. What you decide to do with the memory defines where you will be in the coming years.

So how to use memories as a tool that builds rather than destroys?

To answer this question let me tell you two famous stories that stem from a common path: an ancient Greek myth about Pandora and a tragic accident from the April 10, 2010.

The first story:

In ancient Greece there existed a myth of Pandora who was sent to the earth by Zeus to punish humans for Prometheus’ sin of stealing fire from the gods.

Pandora was a daughter of the gods, beautiful, strong and married Prometheus’ brother Epimetheus. Zeus -her father, gave her a jar as a marriage gift and told her never to open it. But she was curious…

…so she opened the jar.

When it was open, all sorts of evils and terrible events escaped and spread out all over the earth. But the jar contained something more. There was Hope in the bottom of it, and hope is the power that is able to defeat evil.

The second story:

On April 10, 2010 an airplane carrying 96 people crashed. The passengers included the Polish President Lech Kaczynski, his wife Maria Kaczynska, top army officials of all divisions, ministers, senators, priests, intellectuals and heroic figures of past political uprisings – people who led the fall of communism in 1989, like Anna Walentynowicz and the last president of the Polish government-in-exile Ryszard Kaczorowski. They were flying to Katyn, a rural Russian town, which is a symbol of the tragedy of war. Exactly 70 years ago, on April 10, 1940, the Soviet Secret Police murdered more than 22,000 Polish citizens including top ranked army officials – generals, officers, intellectuals – as well as university professors, scholars, writers, diplomats, etc.

For 70 years the open discussion about this crime was hidden from the public, not only by communist Russia, but also by Western Europe to sustain political order in their fragile attempt to build “peace”.

In Poland people were killed or imprisoned for speaking about that crime. By not talking about the difficult events from the past, obtaining political stability became impossible. Russia and Poland and thus the rest of Europe were in a state of constant instability.

The recent airplane crash allowed people to see view the unresolved problems of the past with its crimes in a new light, and also showed the consequences of not giving the people justice. For the first time, this awakening provided a stable platform for growth and unity in Europe and the rest of the world. Simply because the facts from the past were being openly talked about for the first time.

The accident opened the proverbial Pandora’s box, setting fears free by making them visible and open for discussion.

How do these stories correspond with our private lives?

We can achieve an entirely different course of existence by bringing the unresolved issues from our past out into the light and facing them. By speaking about past events, we can prevent them from happening again. When the blame and fear are hidden and not talked about, they grow out of proportion. This process – of memories giving us more pain than they should and preventing us from achieving our full potential – is natural to our creative mind and imagination.

Thus, in order to achieve our goals and happiness in life we must open Pandora’s box and set the anxiety free. And conversation is vastly important when it comes to building up a solid future. Procrastination is often built upon unresolved fears, and undiscovered desires, hidden deep down inside in our hearts and souls. The answer to the question- How To Stop Procrastinating is simple- do what you fear most.

The potential of the human mind is endless and thus achieving what we want is always possible. But there are certain roadblocks in people’s lives that should be resolved before their life can begin at full speed.

I do not know all the answers, but what I know for sure is …when you ask better questions you get better answers.

…what is your biggest fear?…and why?

Could you make a drawing just by imagining it or planning to make it?

…NO!

In order to stop procrastinating you must become aware of the unrealistic and perfectionist demands you place upon yourself. Once you learn to identify this trait in yourself, you can then learn to be more gentle by telling yourself that you are good enough, that you are doing your best. Some helpful steps to overcoming procrastinating are:

Identify your fear. If you are unable to do anything more than look at your to-do list, ask yourself what it is that you are afraid of. Not finishing it on time? Not fully understanding the task? Facing rejection upon completion?

Learn to “dechunk”. Sometimes just one goal can be overwhelming when it is a large project. Break it down into manageable chunks. Learn to make decisions and prioritize. Set a timer for small increments of time and take breaks regularly

Set up realistic goals. There is no better way to procrastinate than to set yourself unrealistic goals, like writing a twenty page essay in one day or attempting to do ten tasks before lunch.

Write down daily goals and deadlines. Get an appointment book or a wall calendar and write down everything you must do so that you can see your goals clearly. Each day make a list of what needs to be completed and carry it in your wallet so you can look at it regularly.

Role models. Find role models who are productive without being perfectionists. Observe their methods and learn how to be satisfied with being good enough and doing your best.

Get an action buddy. Tell a friend or coworker what your daily tasks are each morning, and then check in again at the end of the day to let the other know what was completed. There should be no judgment or reprimands if tasks are left undone, though.

Sports. Playing sports gives us the opportunity to see immediate results, allows us to focus sharply on the task at hand, changes our state of mind both chemically and mentally and teaches us to know when to stop (when too tired or in pain).

Remember that learning to stop procrastinating is a process.

Use these tools to slowly and gently overcome your procrastination,

one day at a time

A lot of procrastinators do not recognize that they are perfectionists because the common belief is that perfectionism means doing something perfectly. Ironically, this is not usually the case.

The paralysis that ensues from having impossibly high standards causes the perfectionist to wait until the last minute and then either rush to complete it or avoid it altogether, which leads to procrastination.

Perfectionism

Perfectionism is the belief that anything less than perfect is unacceptable. Often the motivator behind this thinking is the fear of failure. The perfectionist cannot delegate tasks, finds it difficult to start something if she believes she can’t do it perfectly, and wastes a lot of time on minute details.

In moderation and with a healthy attitude, striving to do something perfectly can inspire one’s best work, but more often than not, if the finished project is less than perfect, it inspires only disappointment and self-flagellation in the perfectionist.

Procrastination

The traits associated with procrastination are:

Disorganization – procrastinators are inclined to take care of the more comfortable or convenient tasks first and so priority is sacrificed for ease. And as these simpler tasks are being attended to, the other ones pile up until it is too late to complete them without a mad rush.

Overwhelmed – if you have many things or one big project to do, thinking about the whole list can be overwhelming, as opposed to taking them step by step.

Distraction – when feeling overwhelmed about a task or to-do list, it is easy to allow yourself to give in to distraction as a method of relief.

Fear – for the perfectionist, the fear of not doing something perfectly, i.e. the fear of failure, can lead to procrastination, which becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy and may turn into a vicious cycle.

Napoleon Hill once said :

“Procrastination is the bad habit of putting of until the day after tomorrow what should have been done the day before yesterday.”

What you loose by putting things off is the ability to live your dream. World moves forward with or without us…

“Impossible is a word not in my dictionary.”

- Napoleon Bonaparte

If everything is possible, then why do so many of us fail in our lives?

What is the bottom line for every achievement? I will tell you in a minute, but first let me tell you a short story. It is far easier to understand our endless possibilities by looking at real life examples.

EUROPE:

One person is travelling to the airport by plane, and one person is travelling to the same airport by car—to pick the first one up. They leave from different locations across the world—2000 km by air and 80 km by car—and reach the airport at the same time. The distance is vastly different and yet the time frame is the same. In life it works the same way.

When you know your ultimate goal and define the level of achievement you aspire to, the speed by which you get there depends only on your values and the tools you choose. It is up to you whether you arrive at your goal quickly or slowly. And the speed with which you achieve your goal gives you space – time to plan next goals, which are usually bigger. This is how great fortunes expand and great talents become more intuitive: by gaining speed. Look at Richard Branson. His company Virgin is one of the most respected brands on the planet and has approximately 300 companies under its wings. And it’s still expanding.

So what do the two types of locomotion have in common with the speed of achieving one’s goals ?

Let’s take a look at their characteristics:

Travelling by car. It is relatively slow, you are in control of the vehicle, your safety is primarily in your hands, you manage all aspects of travel by yourself. So you spend a lot of time attempting to reach the ultimate goal.

Travelling by plane. It is fast and decisive, you know exactly where you are going, you rely on other people (pilots, crew) to take you to your destination. You trust the skills of others to the extent that you leave your safety in their hands (which is exactly what happens in business – outsourcing). There are potential risks of relying on someone else’s skills, so you risk your life but you win the most precious commodity: time.

These examples show the importance of good planning and knowing what you want, what you like and what makes you happy. Choosing the right tool saves massive amounts of time, delivers greater achievement and teaches you how to plan. In the process of planning you see which way suits you best and you can get to where you want much faster than you thought possible.

So coming back to the initial question – what is the bottom line of every achievement?

The answer is : YOU.

Finding your individuality, creativity and then planning your life, choosing the right passion and purpose brings out the best in you.

One of the ways to do this is to seek mentors. They become the vehicles by showing you the knowledge uniquely important to your “trip”. Nowadays we hear a lot about the importance of choosing the best teachers, or mentors. Of course, there is no one right way for all of us; you need to find teachers that are best for you. Every single person has the potential for being a genius because our unique skills and abilities have never existed before. This idea is related to the fact that the world is constantly changing and rearranging itself. The economy, politics and environment is different every single day. Our brains adapt to the new reality all the time. And it is here where the core of all achievement appears.

UNIQUE CREATIVITY

…are you ready to take a plane to your goal?

Setting and achieving goals resembles the process of making a sculpture: creating something new by first envisioning it and then by following your dream to the moment of achievement. The shape of success is dependent only on your imagination and the ability to act upon it.

Most of us know the history of the Alexander the Great of Macedon—he was one of the greatest military geniuses in history, a man who conquered most of the civilized world of his time, driven by a goal to build a united world. Tall, slim and handsome, he grew up believing in his own strength and his ability to achieve every ambition he envisioned. He was the first great conqueror who went as far as Greece, Egypt, Asia Minor and western India. He marched from victory to victory in his twenties and early thirties, oblivious to fear of defeat. His great successor, Napoleon Bonaparte once said, “The word impossible is not in my dictionary”. Behind all Alexander’s mighty power we find foundations of self-respect, self-belief and the ability to plan the coming actions—to set goals. Setting and achieving a goal resembles looking at a map and plotting out your path of exploration.

In his brief biography, Paul Johnson wrote about Alexander the Great: ”The study of maps – he made a collection of the best available – and Alexander’s ability to read a map and follow it expertly both expired his enormous territorial ambitions and helped to realize them”.

The more you know what you want and where you are going, the easier it is. You do not need to know everything, but when you know the plan—your map—you will easily overcome any obstacles along your way. You may take one or two detours, but you will come back to the path eventually.

By mapping out a goal, you save time. The results will come when you focus on those activities that are important in your life and not the unimportant ones that sidetrack you.

The process of setting goals involves:

- Knowing the big picture – what it is that you really want. This step is vitally important as the ability to achieve goals is dependent on following a clear path. The closer a goal is to your heart, the more powerful the action you can take and easier it is to realize it.

- Becoming someone new in the process. If there is something that you really want and you do not have it now, you need to become someone new to get it. This idea is easily proven by the process and maintenance of wealth creation: most Lotto winners do not understand this concept and therefore lose their money soon after winning it.

- Writing it down on a piece of paper. When you set a goal and write it down, you automatically evaluate it. You take an abstract idea out of your imagination and define the shapes and colours of the outcome. And so by writing it down, you see that it is achievable.

- Having time limitations. This is because achievement tends to be attracted to speed and detailed visioning.

- Taking action.

The process of achieving your goals involves living in the present moment while still being aware of the bigger picture. This is essential as our thoughts create our outcome. The more precise our goal is, the closer it is to our inner core.

“Imagination rules the world”. All creations came from the ability to pursue your dreams.
